While the Savage Sleeps by Andrew E. Kaufman {Book Review}

Review2
Of all the books I’ve read that have been categorized as a thriller/horror, none have fit into the category as Andrew E. Kaufman’s books do. I have been hooked on his writing ever since picking up the book Twisted which is by far the most…well…twisted novel I’ve ever read. This book easily gets second place!

There are two main characters living in different parts of New Mexico. How they are connected is one of the twists in the book! For the most part, it seems most of the plot itself is full of complicated twists and turns that are impossible to predict.

I have read the book and listened to the audiobook. I probably read the book too fast since I was so into it, but the audiobook was so thrilling, I ended up turning on the lights while listening in bed in the dark one night.

Despite what the other reviews say about this book this is by far one of my new favorite books! I don’t think the other reviews are from readers who understood that this book has GORE and VIOLENCE! It’s not for the faint of heart. I am stressing that this is a psychological thriller and anyone who’s a fan of that genre, will love this book!

I was immediately swallowed up into the story, and did not put this book down until I was finished. I was so anxious to find out what was happening in the story, that “one more chapter” ended up in me completing the book in a day. I love Kaufman’s books and hope there will be more to come!
